Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar during an unscheduled visit on Sunday reviewed uplift works in block 2 and 4 of Gulistan e Jauhar.
He on this occasion said that laying of a new water supply line in this area would solve the water problems. He said water supply is the responsibility of KWSB but we are carrying it out too.
He said CC-flooring work in the inner streets was also being carried out and union councils were doing all these works to provide relief to residents of their area.
He said this megacity should have been one of the well-developed cities of the world but unfortunately Karachi left behind many other cities of country in development.
