ISLAMABAD: A meeting to review arrangements for the 48th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers was held here on Thursday with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the chair.

The 48th meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers will be hosted by Pakistan on March 22 – 23. Addressing the meeting, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan had hosted the extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on the situation in Afghanistan on December 19, last year.

He said all the institutions played a vital role for successful conduct of the OIC meeting. He said Pakistan will again become center of attention because of the upcoming OIC meeting. On the occasion, the Foreign Minister was given a detailed briefing on the arrangements being made for the meeting. The Foreign Minister directed that all arrangements should be finalized at the earliest.
