KARACHI:As many as 114 more dengue fever cases were surfaced in Karachi city in a day, taking the reported cases’ toll to 2,637 since 1st January 2019.
According to the weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, at 120 new dengue fever cases were reported across the Sindh province in a day, out of which 114 were detected in Karachi and six in other district.
In September, a total of 1257 dengue positive cases reported throughout the province out of which 1201 happened in Karachi and 56 in other districts.
In 2019, a total 2,759 dengue cases have been detected in Sindh province so far out of them, 2,637 were in Karachi and 122 in other districts.
A total 11 people have been died from dengue fever in Karachi this year so far.
