KARACHI:Sindh police on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended 1158 criminals, including 300 absconders, 109 proclaimed offenders and 749 others, during week-long actions across the Sindh province.
According to a spokesman for Sindh police, during crackdowns on outlaws, Karachi police arrested 109 absconders, one proclaimed offender and 417 other criminals.
Hyderabad police during the raids arrested 70 absconders, 11 proclaimed offenders and 229 other suspects. Sukkur police apprehended two proclaimed offenders and 59 other criminals.
Larkana police claimed to have detained 106 absconders, 91 proclaimed offenders and 32 other suspects. Shaheed Benazirabad police arrested 19 absconders, four proclaimed offenders and 23 others outlaws. Mirpurkhas police nabbed four absconders and 14 other suspects.
IGP Sindh directed DIGs and SSPs to make special efforts for the arrest of wanted criminals throughout the province.
