50000 liters of smuggled diesel seized

LARKANA:Anti-Smuggling Squad of Pakistan Customs, posted in Larkana Division and Customs check post, Jacobabad seized 50,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel worth approximately Rs3.5 million in an opration led by Incharge Inspector Aziz Ahmed Katpar.

He told newsmen that an LPG bowser carried LPG to Quetta and after unloading it loaded the smuggled diesel in its large tank. He said that the vehicle was coming back from Quetta and was destined for Punjab when it was stopped and smuggled oil in it seized.

The vehicle was impounded at Customs warehouse in Sukkur. The cost of the vehicle is also said to be Rs8 million.

Further investigation is under way.
