All medical facilities to be provided to laborers: Baloch

KARACHI:Sindh Minister for Labour and Human Resources Ghulam Murtaza Baloch said Tuesday that he will not tolerate any lethargic attitude in treatment of the workers.

Sindh Labour Department has taken many initiatives to provide better health care and education facilities to them, he said while paying a surprise visit to Kulsoom Bai Valika Hospital here today. On this occasion, Baloch visited Emergency Ward, CT Scan Ward, Paeds Ward and other wards and inspected cleanliness situation there and asked MS to improve it.

He also reviewed ongoing development work in the hospital. Medical Superintendent briefed the minister regarding ongoing development work. Baloch asked him to speed up the construction work and complete it at earliest.

During his visit, Baloch expressed his resentment to male doctors and staff for not wearing aprons and directed the MS to serve them showcause notices.

He also asked MS to give showcause notice to store in charge, who caused delay in giving medicines to the patients. Baloch also distributed ration among patients, who were admitted there.

While talking to them, he assured that Sindh Labour Department would not leave any stone unturned in their treatment and they were working to provide latest medical equipments to Social Security Hospitals.

“We are paying special attention, keeping in view the vision of Pakistan Peoples Party, towards education, health and safety of the laborers,” he concluded.
