AT takes out rally in Larkana

LARKANA:The activists of Awami Tahreek took out a rally and held a protest demonstration Friday against water scarcity, settlement of aliens, kidnapping and killing of innocent children, unemployment and massive price hike.

They were holding party flags, banners and placards in their hands and were shouting slogans in favour of their demands. While talking to newsmen, Central Vice President advocate Sajid Mahesar, Deputy General Secretary, Mehran Sindhi, Rafi Leghari, Ali Hasan Wako, Zulfiqar Mirani, Fazul Rahujo, Muhammad Khan Chandio, Akbar Katohar, Zahuid Mangi, Shukaib Noonari and others said that rulers had crippled lives of poor masses across the country including Sindh.

They said ‘the federal rulers say that all is well but provincial rulers of Sindh have kept mum’. They said people in Sindh had even been denied drinking water which is called life across the globe. They said in Kasho, mother and her children died due to lack of water.

They said on one side Sindh’s water had been closed and on the other hand, Imran Khan had given permission to Afghans to stay in the country for another year as if he was the owner of the country. They said schemes like Zulfiqarabad, Bahria Town, DHA and others were calculated conspiracy to covert Sindhi people into minority.

They demanded that Afghans, Burmese, Biharees, Bengalees, Indians and other outsiders be sent back to their original countries without loss of further time. They said forced conversion of Hindu girls is a crime and kidnapping and rape cases of little girls had increased in Sindh which should be stopped and criminal cases be registered against relevant SSPs and SHOs in whose limits such crimes are taking place.

They said police had become personal servant of MNAs, MPAs, landlords, Mirs, Pirs, ministers and other influential persons which was why law and order had worsened and lives of law abiding citizens were unsafe in Sindh. They said PTI government had entirely failed to give relief to the poverty-stricken people.

They alleged that newborns are dying in Tharparkar while children are losing lives for HIV and AIDS in Larkana, but there seemed nobody to take care of them, adding healthcare system had collapsed during PPP era. They said those rulers had no right to stay in power who cannot protest lives of their citizens.
