BA admits adjournment motion, another kept pending

QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly admitted an adjournment motion for discussion while another was kept pending here Saturday.

PMAP MPAs Syed Liaqat Agha, Nasrullah Zeray and Leader of Opposition Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal moved joint adjournment motion in provincial assembly here today.

It said that recently political leaders from different political parties and tribal and social people addressed public meetings under Pashtoon Tahafuz Qaumi Movement in Zhob, Killa Saifullah , Khanozai and Quetta in recent days. Cases were registered against them which are negation of human rights particularly freedom of expression under Constitution of Pakistan.

MPA Nasrullah Zeray and provincial Minsiter Sarfraz Bugti expressed their views on the motion.

Speaker put the motion for voting and ruled that under Rule 75 (2) motion enjoys required support and it is admitted for discussion on March 20, 2018.

Earlier Leader of Opposition Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal had moved adjournment motion in Balochistan assembly in its session March 14, 2018. It said that Young doctors were on strike in support of their demands for several days. With the result OPDs are closed. A summary about demands of young doctors was sent to Chief Minister which was not approved yet.

Health Minister told that OPDs were not closed. Provincial Minister said that we would resolve the matter shortly. He said OPDs were not closed.

Provincial Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that it is doctors issue. We would resolve the matter with striking doctors.

Speaker said doctors should thin that how they were sincere with the profession of treatment of patients. She said motion is kept pending as process of dialogue was underway.
