Burglars loot mobile shop in Naseerabad; demo held

NASEERABAD:A gang of burglars took away mobile phones worth Rs300,000 from a mobile market shop in Naseerabad in the wee hours of Monday.

Unknown burglars barged into the shop of Waqar Shaikh at the mobile market in Naseerabad town of district Larkana. The police have failed to control crime in the area as the Eid is drawing close.

Mobile Market Union and Qaumi Awami Tehreek activists held a protest demonstration on the main road of the town against the theft of mobiles worth Rs300,000. They also staged a sit-in there and chanted slogans against the police for their failure in protecting their business on the occasion of Eid.

The protesters included Abdul Shakoor Panhwar, Muneer Lashari, Inayat Tunio, Zameer Mugheri and Waqar Ali Shaikh. Leaders demanded immediate justice to them.

Later, SHO Naseerabad reached the protest site, held talks with the demonstrators and assured them of getting the stolen mobiles returned very soon. On his assurance, the protesters called off their protest and dispersed peacefully. However, they warned the police that if mobiles were not returned by tomorrow, they would resume the protest and widen its scope.
