KARACHI: A family from interior Sindh held a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club on Tuesday against the killing of its man Asif Ali Kakepoto in an alleged fake encounter in Shikarpur district.
The protesters, carrying placards and banners, inscribed with demand of justice in the fake encounter case, chanted slogans against the police’s injustice.
Speaking to media on this occasion, a victim family member, Tariq HussainKakepoto, alleged that his brother Asif Ali Kakepoto was killed in a fake encounter by GarhiYasin police headed by DSP Tariq HussainJalabni in 2015.
He said his brother was picked up by the police along with two other men and was later killed in a fake encounter, while two others were released on bribe. He appealed to Chief justice of Sindh High Court, IGP Sindh AD Khowaja and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to provide justice in the fake encounter case.
