DADU:Citizens held a protest demonstration against Municipal Committee Dadu Chairman Ghulam Mustafa Brohi for committing corruption and not cleansing the city on Friday.
A large number of citizens came outside the municipal committee office and chanted slogans against municipal committee chairman Ghulam Mustafa Brohi. They were carrying placards and banners in their hands, and were demanded justice with the citizens.
The protesters also staged a sit-in outside the municipal committee office. They alleged that the chairman was involved in corruption as a video leak of corruption had surfaced.
The protesting leaders alleged that the chairman was involved in making fake bills worth lacs of rupees every month while he was also not taking steps to cleanse the city of four lac population as most parts of the city were in grip of heaps of garbage.
The protesters said that over 200 Mohallas and colonies of the city were littered with garbage, but the chairman did not feel any responsibility to cleanse them. They said that the municipal committee gets Rs2.5 crores of budget every month, but despite it, there was no cleanliness in the city. The citizens’ budget is being embezzled ruthlessly.
The leaders demanded of NAB and anti-corruption authorities to launch a probe into the embezzlement being committed by Municipal Committee Dadu Chairman.
