ISLAMABAD: Pakistan High Commissioner to Canada Tariq Azim Khan had a meeting with Speaker of Canadian Senate George Furey at Ottawa and exchanged views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and Canada.
On the occasion, the High Commissioner briefed him on the security situation in the region and the latest economic developments in Pakistan that provides excellent opportunities for foreign direct investment.
He added that during the last two years, the bilateral trade has been doubled and there is a potential to further enhance it.
The Speaker welcomed the High Commissioner and said that the democratic institutions of the two countries should benefit from bilateral and commonwealth related exchanges.
