KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Saturday condemned the remarks of Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry on the qualifications of judges of High Court, and said that those remarks were uncalled.
When the conduct or competence of judges cannot even be discussed in the parliament how can a federal minister imply that a judge is incompetent, he asked. He said that Fawad’s remarks had stigmatized the honourable judges and it was important that ‘I must mention this at the very outset that we have the utmost respect for the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court who is not only the senior most but also a very competent judge.”
He said that infact all the top four judges are extremely competent and there is no doubt or question about their integrity, honesty or competence which is well known. Shah said that it was very unfortunate that PTI was in the habit of defaming judges.
