JI concerns over ghost schools in Sindh

Karachi:Jamaat e Islami (JI) Sindh chapter has expressed concern over more than 7000 ghost schools in the province.

JI Sindh general secretary Kashif Saeed Shaikh said that the confession of the government sources that 7000 government schools in Sindh are closed is a very serious issue.

He said the PPP has been ruling Sindh for last 11 years and education sector during this long tenure is on nose-diving. He said despite declaring so-called education emergency in Sindh, the menace of ghost schools and ghost teachers is still there.

He demanded action against corrupt bureaucracy of Sindh education department and immediate steps to reopen all closed government schools in the province.
