Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said instead of hollow talk practical work should be shown.
As whole Karachi has expectations from us; therefore, public welfare projects will continue and we will do whatever we could for resolving problems of citizens, he said talking to media during his visit to the Meghji Bhagwanji Building in Narainpura, Ranchore Line on Wednesday.
Mayor inspected different portions of the Meghji
Bhagwanji building, during which the residents of this old building demanded its restoration and repair.
Akhtar said this building was declared dangerous in 2007 and many families were shifted to other locations. He said this building is presently in such a poor state that it will have to be demolished completely.
He said “ABAD” would help us in the restoration and rehabilitation of this building and the families still residing in this complex will be shifted to safer places.
