KARACHI:An Accountability Court (AC) on Saturday decided to induct former mayor of Karachi and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairman Mustafa Kamal and others in a reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) pertaining to illegal allotment of government plots in Clifton area.

PSP Chief Mustafa Kamal along with Iftikhar Qaimkhani and other accused appeared before the court. The copies of the reference were provided to the accused. However, the accused would be indicted on next hearing.

Kamal stated that an illegal allotment reference is being made but they did not do so.

“There is not a single point regarding the illegal allotment in the reference, but it still it is entitled so.”

The court asked Kamal to submit plea pertaining to changing the title of the reference.

The court, later, adjourned the hearing till 17th August.

Talking to media outside the court, Kamal lashed out at NAB. He said he has requested court pertaining to change the title of reference against him. “The said allotment was done in 1982, but I became mayor in 2002,” he said.
