KARACHI:Police conducted raids in different city areas in the wee hours of Sunday and arrested four accused after two encounters.
According to police sources, a gang of three robbers were looting people at gun point in Gulshan-e-Hadeed area. When a police party reached at the spot the accused opened fire on the police, however after exchange of fire police arrested three accused identified as Ameen alias Mina, Tahir and Manaf. Police also claimed to have recovered two pistols, looted cash and a stolen motorcycle from their possession.
Separately, another police encounter took place in Azizabad Block No-2, where two criminals, Shahzad and Adnan were arrested in injured conditions during shootout.
