KARACHI: Karachi police on Monday claimed to have arrested seven alleged criminals, including two smugglers, in different search potations in the city.
According to police sources, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and Landhi police apprehended five street criminals, Rashid Mehmood, Dilshad, Yousuf, Umair, Saeed, from Saddar and Babar Market.
The police also have recovered three TT pistols with Magazines, four snatch mobile phones, one motorcycle and hashish from their possession.
According to SHO Gadani Siddiqu Rounjho on a tip-off, about smugglers, who were trying to smuggle a huge quantity of wine from Pasni to Karachi, during search of a van at National Highway police recovered 200 bottles of imported wine from a vehicle and arrested two smugglers.
The police registered a case and started further investigation.
