PPP announces three-day mourning over MPA Shahnaz’s murder

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah informed on Saturday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had announced a three-day mourning over the assassination of PPP Sindh MPA Shahnaz Ansari and said that the political activities of the party would remain suspended during the period of mourning.

The murder of Shahnaz Ansari was an atrocious act and that her murderers would be brought to justice without ado, the minister said in the statement. He strongly condemned the murder and said that the services of Shahnaz Ansari rendered for the party would never be forgotten.

He said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had also notice taken of the brutal murder of Shahnaz Ansari and directed the police authorities to bring her killers to the book without delay.

The minister said that a thorough investigation into the murder of the woman MPA would be conducted and anyone found involved or helping in the murder would not be spared.

The info minister said that the initial investigation had revealed that there was a family dispute that led to the murder of Shahnaz, but it was quite early to reach to any conclusion at this moment in time. Shah expected that the police authorities would soon inform about the motives and persons behind this murder.
