Rally staged against potable water shortage in Nasirabad

NASIRABAD: The citizens took out a rally and held a protest demonstration here on Monday against deprivation of development works and persisting drinking water shortage in their area.

A large number of participants, including Sufi GhaffarChanna, MansoorKathio, ZohaibGanwas, HabibPahnwar, Khan Bhatti and SajjadSooho, marched the town roads, staged a sit-in outside Town Committee office and chanted slogans against Chairman Town Committee.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that there was an acute water shortage since the month of Ramazan in their respective areas. They said people of their areas had been struggling for a drop of drinking water since a long time, but the authorities had failed to provide water to the people.

They also alleged that town administration was carrying out development works in the areas of favorite people and their areas were being neglected in development.

We are continuously protesting for our fundamental rights but despite it, town authority was not ready to take notice of their problems. The protesters said that they had also appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and caretaker government to help for solution to the potable water problem.
