Robbers loot Rs 700,000 from a private bank

KARACHI: A gang of four robbers looted more than Rs 700,000 from a private bank in Shahrah-e-Faisal area of the metropolis on Thursday.

According to SSP Karachi Noman Saddiqui, a gang of four robbers entered the bank, snatched weapons from security guards and held bank staff hostage at gunpoint.

They looted Rs 700,000 cash from the cash counter and fled on motorbikes to unknown destination after swift operation.

Inspector General of Police Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi has taken the notice of the robbery and sought a detailed inquiry report from the DIGs of Police and CIA.
