ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that socio-economic empowerment of the women is the foremost priority of the government.
Addressing a function here on Friday, she said a mechanism has been evolved to ensure the implementation of relevant law at the grassroots level.
She said Islam gives great importance to the rights of women and the government is determined to ensure the protection of their rights.
