KARACHI:Sindh Board of Investment’s Chairperson, Ms. NaheedMemon has urged mothers to set goals for their own life , instead of being lost for bringing up their children.
“It is very strange, women suppress their desires and goals on becoming mothers. This approach does not prove good even for their kids. They lack due motivation in case of working or active mothers,” she said while talking to senior journalists after inaugurating Mother’s day ceremony arranged by Avari International Hotels Group here at Beach Luxury Hotel.
General Manager BLH, AzeemQureshi along with his staff welcomed the SBI Chairperson , who is one of the successful Pakistani women and mother. MsNaheedMemon said according to an international survey, the children of those mothers who did part time job or business were better groomed mentally against those mothers’ who have no motivation or activism. In this sub-continent, mothers did not assert on their rights and pursue goals of their own life. This ultimately proved harmful to their their children.
The women empowerment and independence is must to make them better mothers and more contribute in the success of their children, she
said. She regretted that most of mothers in the country even did not get proper nutrition and healthcare. She said that bringing up a child was great responsibility. Those nursing babies rightly and transforming them into very disciplined and useful humans deserved recognition and support from the society. They may be mothers and fathers or other women taking this responsibility.
MsNaheedMemon–being a highly qualified and competent business woman- heading the important institution of SBI spoke of many initiatives taken for women empowerment in urban and rural areas of the province.
On this occasion, SBI Chief informed that her organisation had launched the first facilitation centre for ease of doing business, under the umbrella of Sindh Investment Climate Improvement Cell (SICIC). She hared her vision for the way forward and mentioned important future set goals.These included the setting up SBI offices in other cities besides Karachi, establishing centers in all relevant areas and offices to help ease the processes of businesses for people. This step would also ensure that women are included as equal partners in doing business and investment for which they would be facilitated.
