Shazia says PTI govt has dropped ‘petrol bomb’ on inflation-hit people

KARACHI: Central Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and Member of the National Assembly Shazia Marri said on Saturday that PTI government had dropped a ‘petrol bomb’ on inflation-hit poor people for the second time during the current month of July, which was highly condemnable act.

Pakistan Peoples Party had rejected this anti-people decision of incapable government, she said in a statement. Ms Marri allegedly said that PTI was running government on the dictation of world’s loan giants like IMF so far; it isn’t caring about people.

She lamented that PPP had rejected this anti-people decision of increasing price of petrol by Rs 1.71 and further added that rising petrol prices would lead to a storm of inflation for poors and would further increase their worries.

Marri said that country’s people were already fed up with PTI government due to bad economic policies and they wanted get rid of PTI regime. While talking on the weekly inflation report issued by Federal Bureau of Statistics, she said that the prices of per kilogram sugar hiked by Rs 1.55 and uncontrolled price of sugar had exposed fake claims and failures of Imran Niazi’s government to the public.

Marri said that PTI’s government was depriving the people of their right to live life by increasing inflation. “The decision of increasing the prices of petrol, sugar and essential commodities should be withdrawn in order to provide relief to the people,” she concluded.
