KARACHI:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday barred National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from conducting an inquiry against Member of Provincial Assembly of Sindh (MPA) Ali Ghulam Nizamani.
MPA, who fearing a possible arrest by NAB, approached the court and requested it to stop NAB from arresting him. A two-member bench of SHC heard the plea and directed NAB to submit the details of full inquiry against the accused in first week of September.
The counsel of Nizamani, submitted to the bench that his client was worried about his possible arrest, so NAB should be stopped from arresting him.
However, NAB prosecutor Riaz Alam told the bench that the details pertaining to the inquiry against corrupt persons had not yet been received from NAB.
Nizamani is MPA from Sanghar who belongs to Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
