100 trucks cross Afghan border

Quetta:On the request of Afghan government, Pak-Afghan border at Chaman was opened unilaterally for trade.

Some m100 trucks laden with fresh vegetables and fresh fruit entered Afghanistan through Bab-e-Dosti Gate on Friday. Pakistani drivers handed over laden trucks to Afghan drivers at Zero point. Afghani drivers are bound to return trucks after unloading. These trucks were completely sprayed before handing over to Afghan drivers.

Border will remain open for three days in a week for supplying fresh vegetables and fruits to Afghanistan. During these days, 100 trucks laden with edible items will be permitted to enter Afghanistan while Pak-Afghan border will remain closed for NATO supply and other trade activities.
