11 Apprehended In Capial-Wide Crackdown; Illegal Weapons Confiscated

Authorities in the federal capital have taken eleven individuals into custody, including several proclaimed offenders, following a series of targeted police operations that also resulted in the seizure of illegal armaments.

According to Capital police information on Monday, four suspects allegedly involved in various criminal activities were apprehended by teams from the Secretariat, Industrial Area, Aabpara, and Kohsar police stations.

During the operation, law enforcement officials confiscated three pistols with ammunition and a dagger from the possession of the accused.

Formal cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations into their alleged offences are currently underway.

In a separate but related development, a special campaign targeting fugitives led to the arrest of seven proclaimed offenders and absconders by various police units.

The recent enforcement actions follow special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a sustained effort to curb criminal elements and ensure tranquility in the city.

The Islamabad Police reiterated its commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents, stating that ensuring public peace remains its foremost priority.

Officials also urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the relevant police station or via the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline to foster cooperation between citizens and law enforcement in eradicating crime.
