12 Apprehended as Police Seize Narcotics and Weapons in Capital Crackdown

Islamabad police reported to have taken 12 individuals into custody and confiscated a significant quantity of illegal narcotics and weaponry during a series of law enforcement operations across the federal capital, the Islamabad Capital Police reported.

In a coordinated effort, police teams from the Shalimar, Sabzi Mandi, Khanna, Kirpa, Humak, Shahzad Town, and Bani Gala stations arrested nine accused persons allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

During the arrests, officials recovered 1,152 grams of hashish, 244 grams of crystal meth, 15 liquor bottles, and five pistols complete with ammunition from the possession of the suspects.

Formal cases have now been registered against the apprehended individuals, and further investigations into the matters are ongoing.

Additionally, three proclaimed offenders and absconders were arrested by various police teams during a special campaign specifically targeting wanted criminals.

The operations are part of a wider, effective crackdown against crime, conducted under special directions from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, with the stated aim of ensuring peace and tranquility in the city.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated that the Islamabad Police is committed to protecting the lives and property of residents and will not allow any elements to disturb public peace, reaffirming that citizen safety remains the force”s top priority.

The police also urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the relevant police station or the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15’ to help eradicate crime through mutual cooperation between the public and law enforcement.
