12 Criminals Apprehended, Illicit Goods Recovered in Federal Crackdown

Islamabad Police today claimed to have apprehended 12 individuals and seized a significant cache of illicit substances and weaponry in a recent series of operations across the federal capital. This comprehensive crackdown aims to bolster peace and security for residents.

Police teams from Aabpara, Sangjani, Khana, and Bani Gala stations arrested four suspects engaged in various illegal activities. Officers recovered thirty bottles of alcoholic beverages and three pistols along with accompanying ammunition from these individuals. Legal proceedings have commenced, and further inquiries are underway.

Additionally, a dedicated campaign specifically targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the detention of eight more criminals.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, issued specific directives for these ongoing, stringent operations against criminal elements to maintain order within the capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, affirmed the force’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and assets of citizens. He underscored that no groups would be permitted to disrupt public peace, reiterating that ensuring tranquility and protecting residents are the utmost priorities for the Islamabad Police.

Citizens are encouraged to promptly report any suspicious behaviour to their local police station or through the emergency helpline, “Pucar-15.” This collaborative effort between law enforcement and the public is vital for the complete eradication of crime from society.
