13 Apprehended in Major Police Crackdown on Narcotics and Illegal Arms

Authorities have taken thirteen individuals into custody and confiscated a significant quantity of illegal narcotics and firearms during a widespread operation across the federal capital, according to the Islamabad Capital Police.

According to a police report today, the operation is part of an extensive crackdown aimed at curbing criminal activity and ensuring the safety of citizens” lives and property.

In a series of targeted actions, police teams from the Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Humak, Lohibher, and Phulgran precincts arrested nine suspects. During these arrests, law enforcement recovered 1,821 grams of hashish, 433 grams of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”), and two pistols complete with ammunition.

Official cases have been filed against the detained individuals, and further inquiries are currently in progress. Separately, a special campaign targeting fugitives resulted in the apprehension of four wanted criminals, identified as absconders and proclaimed offenders.

SSP Operation/Investigation Muhammad Usman Butt stated that the city”s police force is continuously working to safeguard the lives and property of residents in the federal capital.

He asserted that no one would be permitted to disturb the peace, emphasizing that the security of citizens remains the foremost priority for the Islamabad Police.

The SSP also called upon the public to immediately report any suspicious activities to the relevant police station or via the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, stressing that collaboration between the community and law enforcement is essential to making the city crime-free.
