Thirteen individuals, including two foreign nationals found to be residing in the country illegally, have been taken into custody for legal proceedings following extensive search and combing operations by police across Pakistan”s federal capital.
According to the Capital Police information today, the security initiative was implemented following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and was conducted under the direct supervision of SSP Operations, Qazi Ali Raza.
During the city-wide crackdown, law enforcement personnel scrutinised 306 individuals, 41 residences, and 66 shops. Authorities also inspected 75 motorcycles and 25 other vehicles as part of the operation.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated that the purpose of the security sweeps is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and to bolster safety and security throughout the city.
He affirmed that such operations are being carried out in various areas across the district, reiterating that the Islamabad Police are continuing their indiscriminate actions against criminals, land-grabbing syndicates, and narcotics traffickers.
Citizens are requested to report any suspicious activity immediately to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15.’
