Two individuals were taken into custody today in Kasur after a major police operation, which exposed a sophisticated drug smuggling network, allegedly using drone technology for illegal cross-border movement of narcotics.
This successful operation was carried out by Kasur Police, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Yasir Ali of Ganda Singh Police Station. The operation was centered on the border area of Gati Kalanjar.
Authorities seized significant evidence from the alleged culprits, including an unmanned aerial vehicle, four power units for the drone, and its associated remote control system.
Furthermore, law enforcement personnel recovered over one kilogram of heroin and approximately two kilograms of hashish, which are believed to have been held with the intent to distribute.
The two brothers are suspected of orchestrating the aerial smuggling scheme, representing a worrying development in the methods used by criminal organizations.
