Two suspected robbers were taken into custody in an injured state on Thursday after an exchange of fire with law enforcement officers near KMDC Dental College in the city’s Central district.
A report issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Central has confirmed that the clash occurred when a police team confronted the alleged suspects. As a result of the shootout, both individuals were injured, after which they were arrested.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Tariq son of Abdul Ghaffar and Asif Ali son of Arshad Ali.
Authorities have recovered several items from the suspects’ possession, including two pistols with ammunition, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
Following the incident, the injured suspects were moved to a hospital for medical treatment. A case has been registered at the Taimuria police station, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
