Two suspected robbers were taken into custody in an injured state after an exchange of fire with law enforcement personnel in Surjani Town on Wednesday.

The encounter occurred near Mehboob Shaheed police post in Sector 5 when an exchange of fire took place between the personnel and the alleged robbers.

Both individuals, who were injured during the firing, were later arrested. Authorities have identified the suspects as Daniyal son of Sohail Mirza and Muhammad Asif son of Manzoor.

Upon searching the suspects, two pistols along with bullets were recovered from their possession. A mobile phone, cash, and a motorcycle were also seized from the scene.

Following the arrest, the injured individuals were shifted to a medical center for treatment under police custody. The Surjani Town police station has initiated further investigation into the matter.
