Minister: (PM lays solid foundation for solution of decades long problems: Shibli)

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz has said Prime Minister Imran Khan has laid a solid foundation for solution of the decades old problems of the country.

Felicitating the Prime Minister on his birthday today in a tweet on Monday, the Minister said standing firm in the face of challenges is the hallmark of Imran Khan’s personality.

He said we will succeed under the bold leadership of the Prime Minister. He said Imran Khan became face of Pakistan.

Minister: (Facilitators of fake degree holder pilots to be punished as per law: Sarwar)

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that facilitators of fake degree holder pilots will be punished as per law.

Talking to a private news channel, he said directions have been issued to pursue those involved in facilitation of those having fake credentials.

To a question about Karachi and Chitral plane crash incidents, he said the reports regarding the tragic plane crash incidents will be made public by the end of this year.

Minister: (Opposition wants to stoke anarchy in country: Ijaz Shah)

ISLAMABAD:Interior Minister Brig (r) Ijaz Shah has said protecting the country and its institution is our duty and no compromise will be made on it.

In a statement, he said the movement of opposition parties is anti-state. Permission cannot be given to hold anti-state rallies under the garb of democracy.

He said the opposition wants to stoke anarchy in the country. Their rallies have nothing to do with the welfare of Pakistan and democratic norms.

The Interior Minister said Nawaz Sharif is a convicted person who fled abroad under the pretext of indisposition. He said Nawaz Sharif has started a campaign against the state institutions to escape accountability.

Minister: (Govt reviewing all options to bring Nawaz back: Asad)

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has said the government is reviewing all options to bring back convicted PML-N Nawaz Sharif to face corruption cases.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the PML-N leader exposed himself as being healthy by addressing the All Parties Conference wherein he promoted Indian narrative by criticizing and blaming national institutions, just to gain political mileage.

To a question, he said the Federal Cabinet in its meetings, discusses issues of public importance for the welfare and development of the state and masses instead of doing politics over non-issues.

PM: (PM directs to formulate roadmap for addressing issue of stunting)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to formulate a comprehensive roadmap in consultations with the provinces to address the issue of stunting.

He was chairing the first meeting of Pakistan National Nutrition Coordination Council here on Monday.

The Prime Minister asked the Special Assistant on National Health Services and Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation to prepare roadmap based on time lines which will be presented with the Council of Common Interests. He said the federal government will continue to play its role to address the issue of stunted growth.

The meeting was informed that planning was done in the past ten years to meet the nutrition requirements of women and children but it was never effectively implemented. The result is that today about forty percent of children are the victims of stunted growth. In Sindh, this percentage is fifty percent.

Diplomatic: (China donates 54,000 protection masks to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry)

ISLAMABAD:Central Communist Party of China has donated 54,000 protection masks to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The masks were handed over to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi here on Monday by the Communist Party of China’s representative.

The Foreign Minister thanked the Central Communist Party of China for donating these masks to prevent spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Zardari indicted in Park Lane, Thatta Water Supply references

ISLAMABAD:An accountability court in Islamabad on Monday indicted former President Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane and Thatta Water Supply references.

Asif Ali Zardari and others nominated in the references appeared before the accountability court judge Azam Khan.

A total 19 persons were indicted in the Park Lane reference, while 15 were indicted in the Thatta Water Supply reference.

Asif Ali Zardari pleaded not guilty to the charges as the court directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to present witnesses in the Park Lane reference by October 20 and in the Thatta Water Supply reference by October 21.
