First Lady urges media to play role in creating awareness about breast cancer

Islamabad, October 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): First Lady Begum Samina Alvi has said that the nation especially girls and women of the country should be well aware about the breast cancer. Participating in a walk at F-9 Park in Islamabad today (Thursday), she said that we should raise awareness voices in far flung areas of the country and tell the women that why we are observing Pinktober.

She said that there is no shame if someone diagnosis positive. She said this disease is completely curable. First Lady said we have to focus on students to educate them about disease. She asked media to play their role in creating awareness among the masses. A large number of young girls, women and people belong to every walk of life participated in the walk. Participants were carrying posters and placards inscribed with the advices to the patients of breast cancer to fight the curable disease with courage.

Talking to a delegation of leading industrialists of the country in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said a series of meetings with the business community will be held so that the process of reform and facilitation can further be pursued. Members of delegations appreciated the Karachi package, the government’s policy and initiatives for industries and promotion of small and medium enterprises in the country.

US appreciates positive role being played by Pakistan for Afghan Peace Process

Bundal Island project to benefit country’s overall economy: Governor Sindh

Islamabad, October 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said Bundal Island project off the coast of Karachi will attract fifty billion US dollars’ investment which will benefit country’s overall economy. Addressing a news conference along with Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said federal government will take all the stakeholders on board prior to initiate this eco-friendly project.

The Governor Sindh said a working group will be established consisting of representation of provincial and federal governments and other relevant departments. He said Bundle Island will increase revenue of Sindh government and it will also become a tourists’ destination in the country. He said this project will also generate job opportunities approximately one hundred and fifty thousand.

Imran Ismail said he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and to address reservations of Sindh government. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said that the area of Bundle Island is under jurisdiction of Port Qasim Authority. He said Pakistan People’s Party is trying to make it an issue unnecessarily.

Khusro reviews projects being completed with Japanese’ assistance

The meeting was attended by the Chief of JICA Pakistan Office Shigeki Furuta and Senior Officials from the Embassy of Japan. The Minister appreciated that Japan is a long term friend and one of the major development partner of Pakistan. Prime Minister directs Governor Sindh to finalize all affairs related to Bundle Island

Islamabad, October 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Bundle of Island Project will provide huge opportunities of investment and jobs. He was talking Governor Sindh Imran Ismail in Islamabad on Thursday. He directed the Governor Sindh to finalize all affairs related to Bundle Island in collaboration with Sindh Government.

Imran Ismail briefed the Prime Minister on progress regarding Karachi Transformation Plan. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said eliminating unnecessary regulations, improving tax system and providing facilities to the business community is the top priority of the government.

Talking to a delegation of representatives of leading industrialists and business associations of the country who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday, he said a series of meetings with the business community will be held so that the process of reform and facilitation can further be pursued.

Tragic day of 8th October will never be forgotten: Asad Qaiser

Islamabad, October 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that the solidarity and unity expressed by the Nation on the tragic day of 8th October 2005 is unparalleled and exemplary. In his message while recalling the tragic day of 8th October 2005, he said that devastating Earthquake was trial for the Nation and it emerged successful to overcome this challenge.

He said the nation did not forget the people who lost their lives in this tragic incident and prayed for the solace and peace of departed souls. Speaker Asad Qaiser remarked that nation stood shoulder by shoulder with those brethren who lost their near and dear ones. He said that rehabilitation of affectees of this tragic earthquake was an uphill challenge which was overcome by the national unity and assistance of the friendly countries.
