Government enhancing trade relations with Afghanistan for economic stability: National Assembly Speaker

Islamabad, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser says the government has focussed on enhancing trade relations with Afghanistan for economic stability and regional peace. Talking to newsmen in Peshawar along with Defense Minister Pervez Khattak, after reviewing opening of Rashakai Economic Zone, he said boosting trade with Afghanistan would generate employment opportunities in both countries.

Asad Qaiser said Pakistan can reach the markets of central Asian countries through trade with Afghanistan. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate Rashakai Economic Zone on 21st of this month that would boost trade and development in the area. The Speaker said CPEC conference would be held in Peshawar on Friday.

India behind loss of precious lives in IIOJK: Khan Sopori

Srinagar, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has paid rich tributes to the two youth, martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, today, saying that Kashmiris are sacrificing their lives for freedom from Indian subjugation.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement issued in Srinagar reiterated that the Kashmiris would continue the martyrs’ missions till achievement of the freedom goal. He said that Indian stubbornness was claiming precious human lives in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

“The entire responsibility for the loss of lives lies with the Indian rulers who instead of respecting the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people persist in their stubbornness and want to continue their occupation of the territory by force,” he added.

The Hurriyat leader said that Kashmiris had launched a peaceful movement against the forcible occupation of India and they were struggling for the restoration of their rights in a democratic manner but India never allowed the political movement to flourish in the territory. Khan Sopori advised India to pave the way for settlement of the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective as New Delhi’s stubbornness cannot change the reality of the Kashmir dispute.

MMU demands release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

Srinagar, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) has reiterated its demanded for the release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from arbitrary house arrest to resume his religious, political and social activities in the territory.

Expressing strong resentment over the continued house arrest of its chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who remains incarcerated since August 05, 2019, the MMU at a meeting in Srinagar said the Mirwaiz has been under arbitrary house detention for the past over fifteen months.

The meeting was presided over by renowned religious scholar and founding administrator of Darul Uloom Raheemiya Bandipora, Maulana Muhammad Rehmatullah. The meeting through a resolution unanimously passed on the occasion said Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is a top religious scholar and to incarcerate him and disallow him from fulfilling his religious obligations is violation of his fundamental rights. The resolution was jointly passed by all the constituents of MMU.

The representatives who participated in the meeting included Anjuman Himayat-ul-Islam Patron Maulana Showkat Hussain Keing; Agha Syed Muhammad Hussain of Anjuman Shari Shian; Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Sheikh-ul-Hadeeth and head Darul Uloom Raheemiya; Mufti Muhammad Yaqoob Baba Al-Madni, Head Mufti Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadeeth Jammu and Kashmir; Maulana Ali Akbar, Principal Anjuman Tableegh-ul-Islam; Maulana Abdul Haq Owaisi, General Secretary Himayat-ul-Islam; Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon of Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid; Maulana Fayaz Ahmad Raheemi; Moulana M S Rehman Shams and several others.

The participants also expressed strong resentment over the growing wave of Islamophobia at the global level wherein Islam, Muslims and Qur’an are being deliberately targeted. They made it clear that Islam is not only a religion which preaches humanity above all but its history is witness that it always advocates peace on the globe, and considers the whole of humanity as a single entity.

The meeting also deliberated upon the serious challenges faced especially by the Kashmiri youth who are being pushed to mental agony and other miseries due to the prevailing situation in IIOJK. It was stressed that under such grave circumstances people, especially youth must fight with conviction the present challenges by adopting Uswa-e-Rasool (SAW) and forging unity among their ranks.

India wants to make Kashmiris strangers in own homeland: TWI

Srinagar, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami has said that Modi led fascist Indian government is working on a wicked plan to deprive the Kashmiris of their land making them strangers in their own homeland.

Khadim Hussain, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, in a statement issued in Srinagar, appealed to the Kashmiri people to thwart India’s nefarious designs with unity. “After the unilateral and illegal move to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019, India has now started a never-ending game of enforcing colonial style laws in IIOJK,” the statement added.

He said that Indian Home Ministry had recently amended the land laws to pave the way for Indian Hindus to acquire land in the occupied territory. The Tehreek-e-Wahdat chairman said that hundreds of kanals of land had recently been allotted to the Indian forces for setting up more camps and colonies in Srinagar and other parts of the territory.

Apart from this, Khadim Hussain said, the Roshni Act, which was enacted in 2001 with regard to land ownership rights, was also repealed and thousands of Kashmiris were being deprived of land ownership rights. He said that the promulgation of news laws was meant to affect the Muslims majority status of Jammu.

Indian troops launch violent CASO in Shopian

Srinagar, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops launched violent cordon and search operation in Shopian district, today. The troops during a cordon and search operation opened fire on a residential house in Kutpora area of the district.

An official told media men that during a joint cordon and search operation, triggering an encounter. The exchange of fire is going on. Indian authorities suspended internet services in Shopian and Kulgam districts.

Biden urged to play role in resolving Kashmir conflict

Islamabad, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan while greeting the US President-elect Joe Biden has expressed the hope that the United States will play an active role to get the massacre of Kashmiri people stopped.

In a statement, he said that Pakistan and the Kashmiri people would welcome mediation by the United States or any other country for the settlement of Kashmir issue provided this mediation is supervised by the United Nations.

UN urged to play its role for liberation of Junagarh State from Indian illegal occupation

Islamabad, November 10, 2020 (PPI-OT): Nawab of Junahgadh Muhammad Jahangir Khanji has urged United Nations to play its role for liberation of the Junagarh State from Indian illegal occupation. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said the illegal annexation of Junagadh by Indian forces is against all norms and principles of international law.

Muhammad Jahangir Khanji requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to highlight their freedom struggle at every international forum and be the ambassador to their cause on the pattern of Kashmir issue. He made it clear to the Modi led Indian government that Junagadh will soon become part of Pakistan.

Jahangir Khanji said observing the legitimacy of division formula for the subcontinent, his forefathers had made an agreement to become part of Pakistan but Indian forces illegally captured the territory. Commenting on historical facts, he said Junagadh was the part of Pakistan and still it is the part of Pakistan. He said we will not stop our struggle till the freedom of Junagarh from Indian occupation. The Nawab of Junagadh thanked the Pakistani government for issuing a political map showing Junahgadh in its territory.
