Minister: (Pakistan to work with Saudi Arabia to combat drug smuggling)

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Narcotics Control retired Brigadier Ijaz Ahmad Shah has said Pakistan will work in close coordination with Saudi Arabia to check the menace of drug smuggling.

He was talking to the Saudi Drug Liaison Officer here on Wednesday. The Minister for Narcotics said the Anti-Narcotics Force will work with the Saudi officials for action and investigation against the drug peddlers. He said effective steps will also be taken for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.

Moot: (IHROs should take notice of blatant HR violations in IIOJ and K: NA Speaker)

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said the International Human Rights Organizations (IHROs) should take notice of blatant human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K).

Addressing a national Kashmir Conference here on Wednesday, he said the parliamentary associations should play their role to highlight Kashmir dispute at the world level.

He said we will also send parliamentary delegations to different countries to apprise them about the actual situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Speaker said Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan. He said Pakistan will also organize an international moot on Kashmir dispute. He said efforts are being made for an Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) meeting in Pakistan.

P. Sec: (PTI collected funds in most transparent manner: Farrukh)

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Farrukh Habib has said his party has collected the funds in the most transparent manner.

Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, he said the PTI has provided details of about forty thousand donors. However, the PML-N and the PPP have failed to provide the details of their donors.

Parliamentary Secretary for Railways said the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman received funds from Libya and Iraq. He said the opposition parties will not be allowed to escape from the foreign funding case.

NCOC: (56 more people died of Covid-19 during last 24 hours)

ISLAMABAD: Fifty-six more people died of Covid-19 over the last twenty-four hours, taking the total tally to 11,802.

According to the latest statistics of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 1384 new cases of coronavirus surfaced in the country during the last twenty-four hours after the tests of 35,460 people.

There are now 33, 184 active cases in the country. 504,046 people have so far recovered from the disease.

PM: (PM directs to facilitate poor slum dwellers in Islamabad)

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take immediate steps for the facilitation of poor slum dwellers in the surroundings of Red Zone area of Islamabad.

He gave the directions on the suggestion of a citizen on Pakistan Citizens Portal. The Prime Minister directed that transport be provided to the women, elderly and other persons carrying wood on their shoulders. The transport facility will be provided to these slum dwellers free of cost.

On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the CDA has started providing transport service to them under which the women, children and the elderly persons will have access to Muslim colony.

Court: (FIA to detect hackers of Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s cell phone)

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will investigate the cell phone hacking of Supreme Court’s senior judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

According to reports, a special technical team of forensic and cyber experts will identify the hackers, their motives behind hacking, data hacked and possible leakage of cell data like e-mails and messages etc.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had issued a press statement saying that cell phone of Justice Qazi Faez Isa had been hacked. “It is intimated to all and sundry that the cell phone of Hon’ble Justice Qazi Faez Isa has been hacked”, the statement had said.

The statement had further said that: “There is suspicion that misguiding communication can be made from his lordship’s number to anyone with ulterior motives, therefore, the communication purportedly made from his lordship’s cell phone, which his lordship had not sent may be treated as fake and false”.

On Tuesday, Supreme Court Registrar had requested the Director-General FIA to form a team of experts to investigate the cell phone hacking of Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

IIOJK: (Modi’s Hindutva agenda taking its toll on Kashmiris’ lives)

ISLAMABAD: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K), Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government is resorting to every brutal tactic to perpetuate India’s illegal occupation by changing the demographic composition of the territory making the lives of Kashmiris a hell.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service on Wednesday, said that to advance Modi’s nefarious agenda, Indian troops have martyred 308 Kashmiris including 7 women only after August 05, 2019, when New Delhi revoked Kashmir’s special status and imposed unrelenting military siege in the territory.

The report added that the move is aimed at converting the Muslim majority into a minority to affect the results in India’s favour. The report warned that unending stories of tragedy and trauma are surfacing in the occupied territory as Narendra Modi wants to kill all Kashmiri Muslims to impose the Hindutva agenda in the territory.
