Chief Minister Usman Bazdar issues notice of alleged rape of a woman during a robbery in Sheikhupura

Lahore, September 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has sought a report from RPO Sheikhupura about the incident of alleged rape with a woman during a dacoity. The Chief Minister directed to arrest the accused at the earliest and take stern legal action against them. Usman Buzdar further directed to ensure the justice to the affected woman.

Usman Buzdar prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear is irreparable loss with fortitude.

Lahore, September 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar soon after his arrival in Karachi went to the residence of Sardar Akhtar Mengal leader of Baluchistan National Party and condoled with him the sad demise of veteran politician Sardar Ata Ullah Mengal.

The chief minister also offered Fateha for the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with Sardar Akhtar Mengal and family. Sardar Usman Buzdar said that Sardar Ata Ullah Mengal was wise and veteran politician and had a unique place in his circles.

Usman Buzdar said that services of Sardar Ata Ullah Mengal will long be remembered. The chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family with fortitude.

Lahore, September 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of passing the dead body in a canal in Rukan Pur, Rahim Yar Khan and sought a report from Commissioner Bahawalpur about the construction of Canal Bridge at Rukan Pur. The chief minister regretted over this incident and said that the construction of bridge at Rukan Pur Canal will be reviewed. Rahim Yar Khan and other remote areas were intentionally deprived from basic amenities in the past.

Planning Minister underscores importance of gender-transformative workplaces 

Islamabad, September 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Planning Asad Umar has underscored the importance of gender-transformative workplaces. Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today [Saturday], he desired that a policy framework be developed based on deliberations and rapid research, identifying the current barriers faced by female workers in public and private sector organizations.

He said key recommendations outlined in the framework should not only guide development of a public sector program, but must also be supported by necessary legal instruments to make working environment conducive and progressive for women. During the meeting, the Minister expressed his concern over the rising proportion of out-of-school children following the pandemic globally as well as in Pakistan, sharing the Government’s intent in tackling this challenge as a national priority.

The Minister highlighted the need for exploiting the e-school experiences from the pandemic and using COVID19 as an opportunity for introducing innovative e-solutions, e-schools and accelerated learning programs for reaching out of school children. While reviewing the proposed innovative employment generating and skill-building strategies, the Minister advised that the same be reviewed in tandem with the existing interventions under the Kamyab Jawan Programme to consolidate efforts and resources under one umbrella for an optimum impact.
