Indian, Chinese troops engaged in brief face-off in Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi, October 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):Indian and Chinese troops were engaged in a brief face-off near Yangtse in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, last week. Indian media quoting the people familiar with the development reported on Friday that the face-off was resolved following talks between local commanders of the two sides as per established protocols.

The face-off took place after a Chinese patrol tried to enter Indian territory and the troops of China’s People’s Liberation Army were forced back, Indian official news agency, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported. The incident took place in the midst of continuing stand-off between Indian and Chinese militaries in several areas along the LAC in eastern Ladakh for nearly 17 months. The incident came to light days before another round of high-level military talks between the two sides on the eastern Ladakh row. The Corps Commander level talks are likely to take place within the next three-four days.

Indian troops have waged war against people in IIOJK: APHC

Srinagar, October 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the prevailing situation in the territory in presence of one million Indian forces’ personnel as the most critical ever in the history of Kashmir’s resistance. The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian troops have waged a war against the people of Kashmir to suppress their freedom movement.

The spokesman, denouncing the use of military might to deprive the people of their inalienable right to self determination, said that the Indian arrogance had brought the region at the verge of nuclear war. He condemned the stubbornness of Indian fascist regime and described its approach illogical and against the historical facts relating to the Kashmir dispute.

The spokesman demanded an early visit to IIOJK by a fact-finding team of the world human rights bodies to take serious cognizance of the widespread use of military power against the civil population besieged by over one million Indian forces’ personnel after the repeal of Kashmir’s special status and imposition of military siege in the territory by Modi-led fascist Indian regime in August 2019. He demanded settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions for ensuring peace and prosperity in the region.
