23 water testing laboratories to be established at DHQ level: Mushtaq Shah

Karachi, July 18, 2018 (PPI-OT): Provincial Caretaker minister for Irrigation, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development , Inter Provincial Coordination and Excise and Taxation Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has said Public Health Engineering Department Sindh is going to establish 23 Water Testing Laboratories at district head quarter level at the cost of Rs. 1455 millions. This he said while presiding over a meeting here in his office on Wednesday . Secretary Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Dr. Riaz A. Memon and other officers also attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that Rs.1575 millions had been allocated for providing and installation of Solar System for Rural Water Supply and Drainage Schemes in Sindh Phase II.

While Rs.666.134 millions have been allocated for Rehabilitation of Filter Plants for Urban and Rural Water Supply Schemes and Rs. 1053.695 millions have been allocated for Monitoring Evaluation and Co-ordinate Unit. The caretaker minister Mushtaq Shah, while reviewing the development schemes, asked the officers to speed up work on these schemes and complete them in stipulated time. ‘ Completion of development schemes on time will definitively benefit the people because we are committed to provide relief to the masses’ . he concluded .
