Four suspected dacoits, including two injured, were arrested following a police encounter on Malir Cantt Road on Sunday.
According to information released by District East officials, the exchange of fire occurred when the police encountered a group known as the “Rickshaw Gang”.
The injured suspects have been identified as Dilbar and Azam. They were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The other two arrested individuals are named Zulfiqar and Imran.
Law enforcement agencies recovered three pistols with ammunition, multiple snatched mobile phones, and a rickshaw from the possession of the suspects.
A case has been registered at the Sachal police station, and further investigation into the incident has been initiated.
