4 officials arrested in wheat embezzlement scheme worth crores of rupees

FIA Faisalabad has arrested four government employees on charges of causing a loss of crores of rupees to the national exchequer, adulteration of wheat, and embezzlement.

The accused were taken into custody on Thursday during an operation by FIA Faisalabad from a government warehouse managed by PASCO, where wheat was stored.

Those arrested have been identified as Assistant Purchase Inspector Shamsher Ali, watchmen Muhammad Sohail and Muhammad Kashif, and a fourth employee, Ali Sher.

According to the allegations, these individuals were involved in the embezzlement and tampering of the grain, which resulted in a heavy financial loss to the state.
