59 more patients died of the virus

KARACHI: As many as 1,037 new coronavirus cases surfaced and 59 more patients died of the virus disease in Pakistan during the last 24 hours. The country-wide death toll from the virus has surged to 12,026 so far since the outbreak of the disease in February.

 

According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation, and Coordination’s data on Monday, a total of 555,511 people have been tested positive for the coronavirus disease in the country since its outbreak in February 2020, out of which 251,047 were in Sindh, 160,935 in Punjab, 18,869 in Balochistan, 68,531 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,994 in Islamabad, 4,916 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 9,219 in Azad Kashmir. However, 511,502 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
