Suraj Club wins All Pakistan Kashmir Azadi Football Cup

KARACHI: Suraj Club Panjgur won All Pakistan Kashmir Azadi Football Cup 2021 organized by FCK in collaboration with Sports and Youth Affairs Department at KMC Ground.

 

According to a statement on Monday, The final played between Suraj Club Panjgur and Football Club Karachi. Suraj Club Panjgur defeated FCK by 4-0. Abdul Hafeez scored 2 goals in the first half and Shaukat scored 2 goals in the second half. Player of the tournament and player of match were Omar Farooq and Abdul Hafeez respectively. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah attended the tournament as chief guest while prominent business leader Hamad Poonawala was guest of honor.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah said that Sindh Super Football League would soon be organized and the sports activities would promoted in the province.

 

Hamad Poonawala said that sports activities are essential for a healthy society. Student should pay attention to sports activities along with their education.

 

Expressing gratitude for the cooperation of Imtiaz Ali Shah, Hamza Farooq said that the organization of the football tournaments would be further enhanced. There is a lot of football talent in Karachi. The skills of the players will be developed through good coaches.

 

In addition, more than 5,000 spectators attended the KMC Stadium and cheered the players on the fierce competition.

 

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah distributed trophies among the winners, runners-up and third position teams as well as cash prize of Rs. 30,000 to winner team and of Rs. 20,000 to Runner-up team.
