Rs60m foreign goods smuggling to Karachi foiled

QUETTA:Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized foreign goods worth Rs60 million in different operations conducted on Quetta-Karachi main highway near Lakpass area on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, a Field Enforcement Unit team seized foreign goods, including 570 parcels of sugar, expensive non-customs paid vehicles, 3100 kilograms of betel nut, foreign cigarettes, auto parts and other miscellaneous gears, in different operations.

Foreign goods, valued at approximately Rs60 million, were to be smuggled to Karachi, however, staff of the Field Enforcement Unit foiled the bid of smugglers.
