A critical review meeting of the District Education Group was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Lt. (R) Saad bin Asad, focusing on the pressing issues faced by schools in the district, including infrastructure deficiencies and teacher absenteeism. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting brought together key educational officials including Assistant Commissioner (City) Captain (Rtd) Abdullah Bin Arif, District Education Officers, and principals of local colleges. They discussed a comprehensive report on the condition of school facilities in Quetta, highlighting issues related to utilities, furniture, and the physical condition of classrooms and washrooms. The group also reviewed the status of occupied school buildings and the deployment of teachers. Deputy Commissioner Asad emphasized the urgent need to address these problems, announcing that 13 teachers would be dismissed for consistent absenteeism, and salaries would be docked for othe
rs as part of strict measures to ensure teacher presence. He instructed the Regional Training and Monitoring Committee (RTCM) to monitor schools daily and report findings to District Education Officers (DEOs), who are expected to act against absences promptly.
