Punjab Police Honored for Successful Child Rescue Operations

Lahore, The Punjab Police held a ceremony to honor the teams from Lahore and Multan that successfully rescued kidnapped children and apprehended the criminals involved. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, awarded letters of appreciation, certificates, and prizes to the officers for their commendable efforts in safely returning the abducted children to their families.

According to Punjab Police, the Lahore team swiftly rescued a nine-day-old child from Nishtar Colony within 48 hours of abduction, leading to the arrest of four suspects utilizing advanced technology. Meanwhile, the Multan team recovered a two-and-a-half-year-old boy, Muhammad Haseeb, abducted from the Sital Mari police station area, with the culprit promptly arrested and facing legal action.

During the ceremony, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran and his team were recognized with commendation certificates and cash rewards. Additionally, several other officers from both cities received commendation letters for their roles in the operations.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised the teams for their diligent work and urged them to continue their efforts with dedication to reduce crime in the region. The event also saw the participation of high-ranking officials including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry and DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, who echoed the sentiments of continued commitment towards public safety.
