Haleem says movement for true freedom has transformed into a revolution

Haleem Adil Sheikh, President of Pakistan TehreekeInsaf (PTI) Sindh and former Opposition Leader of the Sindh Assembly, said in a statement today that the supremacy of the Constitution and law in the country has ended.

He mentioned that while in the past, there were direct attacks on the Constitution, now a conspiracy is underway to break it by making amendments.

Sheikh claimed that the mandate given to PTI by the people in the general elections was stolen, and a group of thieves has been imposed on the public as rulers. He said that governments formed through fake mandates are committing economic genocide, with inflation rising by 200% in the past two years. Essential items such as electricity, gas, petrol, and daily necessities have become unaffordable.

Due to the incompetence of the rulers, poor people’s stoves have gone cold, and they can no longer afford two meals a day, he remarked. Sheikh criticized the current Prime Minister, claiming that the very government that once offered cheap flour by selling clothes has now stripped the public of their clothing due to inflation. He also accused the authorities of disregarding the Constitution and conspiring to imprison the judiciary.

Sheikh further emphasized that those selling the country and its interests for personal gains are enemies of the nation, and the people will never forgive them. According to him, the entire nation now pins its hopes on Imran Khan, and the country cannot function with him behind bars. He also condemned the burden placed on the people due to IMF loans.

Sheikh declared that the movement for true freedom has now turned into a fullfledged revolution. He predicted that the rally in Rawalpindi on September 28 would be historic, with participants from every city in Sindh attending in large numbers. He concluded by demanding the immediate release of Imran Khan, the return of the stolen mandate, and the freedom of the judiciary and media to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of justice.
