Chairing a task force meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister ordered the issuance of red warrants for offenders and expediting implementation of the Federal Prosecution Act 2023.
The meeting saw directives to the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Law and Justice to collaborate in strengthening anti-trafficking laws. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of cooperation to eradicate human trafficking effectively.
The Prime Minister instructed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to share investigation data with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expedite the extradition of traffickers. These steps aim to facilitate swift legal actions against offenders.
In light of a recent incident involving a boat sinking in Morocco, the Prime Minister confirmed that authorities have identified twenty-seven human traffickers, with five already arrested. The task force’s meeting underscored the necessity for coordinated institutional efforts to tackle human trafficking comprehensively.
